Here you can see more of the damage. The floor got replaced, all the cabinets were pulled out and replaced, the range hood was replaced, the ceiling was repainted, the wall was patched and painted over, and new carpet was installed in the living room and hallway.
"Living room and hallway?", you ask? See, when I came into the kitchen and noticed the fire, I realized that I had forgotten to move my fire extinguisher when I moved in. So I did the next best thing: I picked the pot off the stove with the burning liquid, and ran out the front door with it. Problem was, I forgot that there was a glass storm door between me and the front yard. So, I smacked into it at a full run, sending flaming oil everywhere -- including onto my hand, where I suffered second-degree burns and long-term nerve damage. Whoops!
