| 16MAR2004 | Exhaust is hung. The first
cat is not connected to the header yet. I have the wrong gasket. Still need to put the rubber hangers in the back of the muffler. The Bosal mounting bracket is in the completely wrong place on the front of the muffler, so something needs to be fabricated for that. The hanger for the rear of the connecting pipe is in bad shape. I removed it, and will have a bear of a time getting the new hanger in place. |

| 18MAR2004 | Got the correct gasket,
exchanged one of the defective caliper rebuild kits, picked up the rear
brake pads, got the tool for removing the rear pistons, and began the
process of hooking up the exhaust. At some point, someone drilled
out and replaced the bolts holding the first cat to the header. I
had to purchae a replacement bolt for that, and once I did, everything
fell into place. Two problems remaining: Air tube gasket
and the muffler hanger in the wheel-well. The Bosal hanger
bracket is completely in the wrong place. The guys as KOI set me
up with some copper form-a-gasket for the airtube. |
