A long time ago, in an apartment far, far away, we watched The Princess Bride and really thought that of all the great lines in the movie, the word "putrescence" was just the most unusual and intresting.  Needing a domain under which to host the few goodies that I had to share with the world, I thought it was just the right thing to use.  The lesson there is just to stay away from domain registrar websites at 3am after a steady diet of beer and gin.
